“Skin care is not a luxury; it is a need” – Cultured Class Cosmetics Founder

Now coming from Hashe’s Founders Zone, a month of celebrating founders among us, we will be sharing what we learnt. One of our favorite young women with an entrepreneurial mindset is Rumbidzai Catherene Chigama. She is passionately known as Catness and is the founder of Cultured Class Cosmetics. In this season, she shared what she thinks is the true value her brand delivers.

The Cultured Class Cosmetics brand is true to all skin types within the African region. We pay attention to detail, accommodating the cosmetics shades required for our African skin texture, undertones and sensitivities. We take our time in developing and formulating each product line.

Why should you have Cultured Class Cosmetics products in your handbag? According to Catness it’s not just about how you will look on the outside. “I believe how we see ourselves affects our mental health. The way we care for ourselves will impact our mental health.” From Catness’ point of view, every woman should be able to take care of her skin. “Everyone should feel beautiful. Skin care and looking good is not a luxury, it is a need; we should see it that way. “

Catherene acknoledged that money can be a limiting factor. Accordingly, her brand promises to cater for people with various sizes of purses. “Skincare and self-care are not only for the elite but for everyone. Therefore, it is important to bring a wide variety of products for various skin types, personal preferences and different attributes.”
